Six Sentence Sunday ~ Surrender to Love by J.C. Valetine

Where were they going? She had no idea, but wherever they ended up, she had a feeling it was going to be an adventure and she wasn’t all together sure how she’d fare at the end of it.

“Patti?” Jon turned his head to look at her. “Left or right?”

Blinking away her thoughts, Patti pointed. “Right.”

After finding herself out of luck and out of love, Patricia Jacobs has written off the male species. No one but her father has ever given her the love and devotion she knows she deserves, and she’s sick and tired of it. Until she collides, literally, with a man whose devastating smile and seductive charm that should be considered illegal, destroys her plans. He’s everything she’s ever dreamed of in a man: handsome, intelligent, successful, they share a love of cars and best of all; he looks at her like she’s his light in the dark. What more could a girl ask for?

Jonathon Bradshaw, destroyed by a past that has haunted his every waking moment for the last five years, isn’t looking for a serious relationship, until he meets Patricia. Sweet, saucy and as hot as the summer is long, Jon can’t deny the draw he has toward her. For the first time, he has hope. Determined to shake the ghosts of his past, Jon focuses on forging a future with Patti, but he’s always been a master at standing in his own way.

When Jon’s past refuses to be forgotten, will Patti be able to live with the truth about the man who’s stolen her heart?

Six Sentence Sunday~ That First Kiss by J.C. Valentine

In lieu of the upcoming release of That First Kiss, I decided it would be fitting to share a few sentences with you that gave me a little chuckle. Enjoy!

“Where the hell have you been?”

Piper had barely stepped through the door before Tate started shouting. “Running errands, what else would I be spending my afternoon on?” she asked in a bored tone.

“Well I ran out of coffee over an hour ago,” he complained.

“Then you should have made some more,” she retorted, barely able to contain her annoyance. “I’m sure if Mr. Sinclair had known you had such weak ankles, he would have hired two assistants so you would never have to lift a finger for yourself again.”

Six Sentence Sunday~ Stranded by J.C. Valentine

*Content intended for ages 18 and up*

Poppy panted breathlessly as Felix's mouth left hers to trail wet kisses down the column of her throat to her chest at the same time his fingers found the hem of her dress and inched their way beneath the material and up her thighs.

"So is this part of the interview?" she asked, tunneling her fingers through his hair.

Lifting his head from her breast, Felix stared heatedly up at her. "That depends," he said, wetting his bottom lip.

"On what," Poppy asked, her eyes following the movement.

"On how often I get to do this."

Six Sentence Sunday~ Find You in the Dark by A. Meredith Walters

Today's Six Sentence Sunday comes from a book that I recently finished and enjoyed so much, I just had to share it with you. Enjoy!

"That's it! I'm swearing off every member of the female population. Do they still have monasteries? Cause a life time of praying and bad haircuts sure as hell beats chicks and their freaking drama." Daniel's lunch tray came down with a loud clang on the table.

Rachel and I rolled our eyes in union and turned to the third member of our trio with what we hoped were supportive expressions.

"What did Kylie do this time?" Rachel asked, popping a Cheeto into her mouth.

I hope you all enjoyed it! Check it out on Goodreads and be sure to return tomorrow for my review!

Six Sentence Sunday & Cover Reveal!

Check out the new cover for the second book in the Night Calls series, That First Kiss!

Tate was so sweet to his mother, patient and caring, just like a good son should be, but with every other woman in his life, he was rude, crude and an all-around jackass. So which one was the true measure of him?
She was lost in her own thoughts when her phone was suddenly thrust in front of her face. “Dinner tomorrow night at seven.” Tate poured himself another cup of coffee and strode into the dining room, plopping down at the desk and firing up the computer. “Let’s get to work, shall we? I don’t pay you to stand around daydreaming.”
